Ugandan Woman Beats Husband To Death Over Domestic Issues , Detained

The Amolatar District territorial police are currently detaining 26-year-old Apio Sarah, a resident of Adum cell, Adum ward, Team Town Council in Amolatar District, on suspicion of fatally assaulting her husband, Oyari Felix.

According to reports, on January 29, 2024, the deceased, 43-year-old Oyari Felix, had a domestic dispute with his wife, Apio Sarah, during which Sarah allegedly struck him on the forehead with a sharp piece of dry firewood.

Following the altercation, Oyari sustained injuries and lost consciousness. Sarah then took her husband inside the house, but his condition deteriorated overnight. She contacted her in-laws for assistance, but tragically, Oyari passed away while being transported to the hospital.

The deceased’s brothers reported the incident to the Etam police post, leading to Sarah’s interception and subsequent arrest by the police as she attempted to flee.Sarah is currently in police custody pending investigation, while Oyari’s body has been taken to Amolatar HCIV for post mortem examinations.

SP PJ Okema, the North Kyoga Region Police spokesperson, informed spyreports that once the investigation concludes, the case file will be forwarded to RCSA for review and legal advice before Sarah is arraigned in court on a charge of murder.
