Gravity Omutujju, born Gerrason Wabuyi, has made a significant gesture today by donating two bags of cement and a truck full of sand to Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach in Busabala.

This action follows Gravity’s recent criticism of Bobi Wine, whom he accused of selfishness and monopolizing opportunities within the entertainment industry. The government is preparing to allocate Ugx 13 billion to the Artists SACCO, aimed at supporting and empowering creatives in the Arts Industry.

This funding initiative, championed by Eddy Kenzo’s Musicians Federation, has faced backlash from various quarters, including media personalities and opposition politicians, who argue that it misappropriates taxpayer money. In response to the criticism, Eddy Kenzo defended the allocation, emphasizing the significant contributions of musicians to the country’s economy and employment landscape.

Bobi Wine, Uganda’s current opposition leader, suggested redirecting the funds towards healthcare infrastructure instead of supporting artists. Gravity Omutujju seized upon this statement, accusing Bobi Wine of hindering the progress of fellow artists while benefiting from government and donor funding without investing in essential services like healthcare.

Gravity Omutujju’s donation of construction materials towards building a hospital on Bobi Wine’s beach property reflects his desire to address healthcare needs in the community. He highlights Bobi Wine’s extensive land holdings as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing healthcare facilities for expectant mothers in the area.

“Bobi Wine is the artist with the biggest land in the industry. I’ve brought my contribution so that he can build a hospital to help pregnant women deliver children safely without going to Kiruddu.” Gravity Said
