Life has a way of testing us in the toughest ways. For years, I worked as a gatekeeper in Kampala, earning just enough to buy food and pay for a tiny room in the slums. I watched people drive luxurious cars, build beautiful homes, and run thriving businesses while I stood at the gate, opening and closing it for them. Deep inside, I dreamed of achieving the same, but with the little I earned, it felt impossible.
My family also struggled. I had a wife and two children who depended on me, yet there were times I could not even provide their basic needs.
