The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has officially nominated Mr. Calvin Echodu to contest for the position of Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda. The nomination, confirmed today by the party’s Electoral Commission, sets the stage for his participation in one of the most influential leadership roles within the region.

Following the announcement, Mr. Echodu expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Ugandans across the country for their continued support. He gave special recognition to grassroots communities whose encouragement has fueled his campaign and strengthened his commitment to public service.

“This nomination is not mine alone—it belongs to all who believe in servant leadership and transformation,” he said. “Together, we can drive change that responds to the real needs of our people.”

Mr. Echodu emphasized that his campaign will be centered on unity, accountability, and inclusive development. He pledged to be a leader who listens, acts, and delivers tangible results for the people of Eastern Uganda.

He also extended his congratulations to NRM National Chairman and President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for once again offering himself to lead the party and the country. Mr. Echodu praised the President’s dedication and called on fellow party members to stand together in pursuit of national progress.
