Hon. Florence Mayoga Nambozo is a passionate and hardworking Ugandan leader who has made a real difference in people’s lives. Her work focuses on improving education, supporting women, and uplifting communities, especially in the Elgon region. She is more than just a politician—she is a voice for the people.

With a background in teaching, Hon. Nambozo understands how important education is in changing lives. That’s why she works hard to keep children—especially girls—in school. She helps needy families with school materials and speaks out against children dropping out of school. Her early years as a teacher gave her the experience and compassion to fight for better education policies that help children from poor families.

But her efforts don’t end in the classroom. Hon. Nambozo is also a strong supporter of women’s rights and youth involvement. In her district and throughout the Elgon region, she has started and supported programs that help young mothers, train rural women with new skills, and mentor young girls to become future leaders. Her message is powerful: when you empower women, you build a better future for everyone.

Now serving as the State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, she works in one of the most difficult and underserved areas in Uganda. Even in this role, she stays focused on helping the poor, speaking up for those without a voice, and bringing real change to the community level. Whether she is pushing for better services in Karamoja or bringing electricity to rural parts of Sironko, she serves with humility and courage.

What makes Hon. Nambozo stand out is her strong connection with the people. Many leaders lose touch, but she continues to walk side by side with the community, listening to their needs and supporting local solutions. From giving out school supplies to helping local women’s groups grow, her actions show that she is a leader who truly cares.

For Hon. Nambozo, education, women, and community are not just words. They are the heart of everything she does. As she prepares for the next step in her leadership journey, her voice continues to grow stronger—not just in Parliament, but in schools, homes, and villages that need her most.

As she looks forward to serving from 2026 to 2031, the people of Sironko and the wider Elgon Region have a special chance to support a leader who has already made a real difference. With her experience, strong values, and love for her people, Hon. Florence Nambozo is ready to achieve even more. Let us stand with her and continue building a better, fairer, and stronger Elgon Region where everyone can grow and succeed.
