BREAKING!! Armed Robbery Leaves Two Dead at Mukono Petrol Station

In a brutal early morning attack on May 1st, two armed men raided Chard Energy petrol station along Katosi Road in Uganda’s Mukono District, killing two security guards and robbing pump attendants of cash and mobile phones.
The assailants, reportedly armed with a blunt object, fatally assaulted 50-year-old Senabulya Deo and 25-year-old Onyaiti Joseph. After seizing their firearm, which was loaded with five rounds, the attackers used it to threaten pump attendants Tessa Jovita, 23, and Domanye Kevin, 22. The robbers escaped with around Shs 3 million and several mobile phones.
Authorities later recovered the stolen firearm abandoned near a railway line, offering a crucial lead in the investigation. Police have since collected evidence, taken witness statements, and transferred the bodies of the victims to Mulago Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed an ongoing investigation and assured the public that efforts to track down the suspects are progressing.
“This was a planned and violent act. We are following up on all available leads and will not stop until those responsible are caught,” said SSP Onyango.
The incident has left residents of Mukono shaken and raised fresh concerns over increasing attacks on fuel stations in the region. Police have stepped up patrols and security measures as the manhunt continues.
