BREAKING NEWS!! Celebrity Allegedly Behind The Punching Of Full Figure’s Face Beyond Recognition Arrested
Kampala police have arrested events promoter Nobert Twizire, widely known as Nobat, in connection with the recent assault on blogger and media personality Jenifer Nakanguubi, popularly called Full Figure. The attack, which happened last month, left her with serious injuries.
Nobert was picked up last weekend at the Kololo Independence Grounds during a Bodaboda riders’ event held to mark President Yoweri Museveni’s 81st birthday. He was immediately taken to Kampala Central Police Station for interrogation.
Shortly after his arrest, Nobert shared an audio message online confirming that he was in police custody. The news quickly drew public attention, given his prominence in Uganda’s entertainment scene.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, Nobert is being investigated for allegedly working with Justine Nameere, the key suspect in Full Figure’s beating.
Owoyesigire noted that no charges had been filed against him yet. He explained that the promoter was being questioned to clarify his role in the August 30th incident. “We believe he has information about what took place on the day Full Figure was assaulted,” he said.
The spokesperson added that Nobert’s release will depend on his level of cooperation with investigators. He may be granted police bond once authorities are satisfied with his statements.
The arrest has once again raised questions about the safety of public figures in Uganda, especially high-profile personalities who have been targets of violence. Observers say the case underscores the responsibility of event organizers in ensuring security at public gatherings.
Investigations into the attack are still ongoing, and police have not ruled out the possibility of additional arrests. The case remains closely followed by both the public and the media as authorities work to piece together what happened.
