BREAKING NEWS!! DNA Results Confirm That Only 4 Of Late MP Ssegirinya Muhammad’s Children Are Actually His
A dramatic twist has emerged in the family of the late Kawempe North MP, Muhammad Ssegirinya, after DNA results confirmed that only four out of the nine children believed to be his are biologically related to him. The shocking revelation has stirred public debate and deepened the ongoing battle over his estate.
The announcement was made by Alex Lusswa Luwemba, the late MP’s personal assistant, who revealed that the tests were done earlier this year to resolve questions surrounding paternity claims. According to Luwemba, the results showed that five of the nine children previously identified as Ssegirinya’s were not actually his.
The news has not been received well by everyone. Three widows, who are part of the inheritance case, have challenged the DNA results and are calling for fresh tests. Tensions are rising as they fight to protect their claims. Meanwhile, Luwemba has declared that women who had no children with the late MP will be asked to leave his properties, including those in Kiteezi and other parts of the city, within three months.
Ssegirinya passed away on January 9, 2025, at Lubaga Hospital after battling several health conditions, including skin cancer, high blood pressure, and lung infections. His health issues had worsened in 2024, despite treatment in top hospitals like UMC Amsterdam, Nsambya Hospital, and Aga Khan Nairobi.
During his time in office, Ssegirinya was no stranger to controversy. In 2021, he and fellow MP Allan Ssewanyana were arrested and charged with murder, terrorism, and supporting terrorism. They were linked to a string of killings in the Greater Masaka region, with victims such as Joseph Bwanika, Francis Mugerwa, Sulaiman Kakooza, and Tadeo Kiyimba. They also faced accusations of attempting to murder Ronald Ssebyoto and funding criminal activities. After spending 524 days behind bars, both MPs were released on bail in February 2023, paying UGX 20 million each.
Following his death, a by-election was held, and Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola was declared the winner. However, a recent court decision overturned the results, leaving the Kawempe North seat vacant once again.
As the estate battles heat up and more secrets come to light, many Ugandans are left in disbelief. The legacy of Muhammad Ssegirinya, known for both his political boldness and personal controversies, continues to spark debate—even after his death.
