Kyambogo University Set To Graduate 10,926 Students!! Shocking Details Emerge

Kyambogo University is set to have the highest number of graduates ever in the incoming 19th Graduation. Over 10,926 students will be graduating with PhD, Masters degree, Bachelor’s degree and diplomas.

According to the university Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eli Katunguka, 10,926 students will graduate in the 19th graduation ceremony that will run for three days, starting from 6th and ending on 8th , December 2023.

Prof Katunguka, while addressing the media on Monday, revealed that out of 10,926 students, 6118 are males, and 4808 are females. Out of 10,926 students, 483 achieved first class degrees in different academic disciplines.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to be the chief guest on the first day, Education and Sports minister on the second day, and the State minister for Higher Education on the last day. Other invited guests will be, the members of Kyambogo university Council, top management, Heads of Educational Institutions and Agencies, and Vice Chancellors of sister universities.

Professor Katunguka explained that as usual, on the first day, 6th December, only the Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation and School of Management and Entrepreneurship will be graduating. On 7th, Faculties of Agriculture, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, School of Vocational Studies and school of Art and industrial Design, will be graduating.

On the last day, the Schools of Built Environment, Computing and Information Science, Education and Faculties of Engineering and Science, will be marking the end of 19th Graduation of Kyambogo university. Vice Chancellor Prof Katunguka said that however, there are students who edit the graduation books and add in their names so that they disguise themselves before their parents.

He therefore asks any students that did not make it to the graduation lists, to follow the right ways and come back to complete their studies, other than forging to appear in graduation books.

“We have had parents of some students who complained that the names of their sons and daughters appeared in the graduation books, yet they were not read. We went ahead and investigated, to find out that they edited the books and added their names” Professor noted.

Currently, the university premises are out of bounds for any members who are not involved in the ongoing university graduation preparations. VC also explained that the semester has ended on 4th, so they do not expect students on campus except those involved in in-house internship projects.
