“Let Wild Animals Vote For Museveni, For Us, We Shall Vote Bobi Wine” Furious Karimojong Declares After UWA Ban
Karimojong herders from southern Karamoja have vowed to support opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, widely known as Bobi Wine, if the government continues to block them from grazing their cattle in the Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve.
The declaration was made during a community dialogue held on October 4 at Loreng Sub-county, organized by kraal leader Loduk Paul Lokabaale. During the meeting, several angry herders expressed frustration over a Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) directive banning grazing in the reserve.
UWA recently prohibited all human activities, including grazing, inside Pian-Upe.
