Shocking Details Emerge!! Shamba Boy Allegedly Paid 100K to Kill Female Boss in Mbarara, Here’s How He Was Caught
A cloud of sorrow and disbelief hangs over Akatooma Cell in Bwizibwera-Rutooma Town Council, Mbarara District, after the brutal murder of 30-year-old Ritah Akakunda in her home on Saturday morning.
According to preliminary police findings, Ritah was at home with her sister-in-law, Winnie Kabaare, and the family’s shamba boy when the tragic incident occurred. Her husband, Fred Kabaare, had left earlier for work in Bwizibwera town, leaving her in what should have been the safety of her home.
The calm of the neighborhood was shattered when news broke that Ritah had been killed. Police quickly responded to the crime scene with a sniffer dog, which led officers to a key location: the residence of the shamba boy. After examining the area and questioning those who were present at the time, investigators arrested both the shamba boy and Winnie Kabaare. They are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
What has left residents even more stunned is the claim that the shamba boy was allegedly paid only UGX 100,000 (about $26) to commit the heinous act. This disturbing detail has sparked outrage across the community, with many struggling to comprehend how such a terrible crime could be plotted for such a small amount of money.
Ritah’s body was taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem, while police continue to dig deeper into the motive behind the killing and the roles played by the suspects.
The entire village remains in shock, and emotions are running high. Calls for justice are growing louder, as friends, family, and neighbors demand accountability for Ritah’s untimely death.
Authorities have promised a thorough investigation and assured the public that all those responsible will be brought to book. For now, Akatooma Cell mourns the loss of a young woman whose life was cut short in the most unimaginable way.
