There comes a time when a line must be drawn between politics and human dignity. That time is now. Mike Mukula, a man once respected for his political influence, has stooped to an all-time low.

In a shameful and unforgivable act, he has launched false accusations against Pilgrim Africa, a humanitarian NGO that has saved countless lives across Uganda. The question every Ugandan should be asking is this, what kind of man targets an organization whose only mission is to heal, educate, and empower our people?

Pilgrim Africa has never been about politics. It’s been about purpose. About people. About hope. This is an organization that has treated the sick, educated the poor, fought deadly diseases like malaria, and fed hungry families. And yet, here comes Mike Mukula, choosing to spread false stories and baseless allegations in an attempt to destroy what good still exists in our society.

This isn’t a man standing for justice. This is a man playing dirty, destructive games with people’s lives.

Mukula’s actions are not just disappointing—they are disgusting. There is no honor in using lies to discredit those who are doing real, sacrificial work to uplift communities. There is no leadership in dragging down the innocent while hiding behind political influence.

Let’s not forget who we are dealing with. This is the same Mike Mukula whose name has appeared in multiple scandals over the years. A man who has tasted power, but not responsibility. A man who has mastered the art of manipulating public opinion for his personal benefit.

Now he targets Pilgrim Africa—not because they’ve done wrong, but because they’ve done right. Because they are loved. Because they are effective. Because they are everything he is not.

By attacking Pilgrim Africa, Mukula has exposed his true character: bitter, insecure, and power-hungry. No man with a genuine heart would ever stoop so low as to try and ruin the reputation of an NGO that has helped the most vulnerable in our country.

This is not just about politics anymore. This is about character. Mukula’s lies are not hurting politicians. They are hurting children who depend on Pilgrim Africa’s schools. They are hurting pregnant women and malaria patients who rely on their medical care. They are hurting poor farmers trying to feed their families.

Only someone who has lost all connection with humanity. Only someone who cares more about his name trending online than about real lives being saved on the ground.

It is outrageous. It is wicked. And it must not be tolerated.

Ugandans, it’s time to open our eyes. What Mike Mukula is doing is not leadership, it’s betrayal. He has betrayed the public trust. He has betrayed the very values we expect from anyone who calls himself a leader. And now, he’s trying to destroy one of the few organizations still doing good in this country.

Let’s not fall for it. Let’s stand together and say: enough is enough. History will remember this moment. It will remember that while Pilgrim Africa was saving lives, Mike Mukula was spreading lies. While others were lifting up communities, he was tearing them down. While hope was being offered, he was trying to snatch it away.

If this is the legacy Mike Mukula wants to leave behind one of deceit, cruelty, and betrayal—then let him carry that shame alone.

Uganda deserves better.
