“We Give You 1 Week To Return To Work Or Fire Yourselves” Gov’t Tells Off Striking Teachers
The Government of Uganda has issued a stern warning to teachers and local government workers involved in strikes, declaring their actions illegal. Public Service Minister Wilson Muruli Mukasa has set a one-week deadline for all participants to return to work, warning that failure to comply will be considered voluntary resignation. The government has made it clear that disciplinary measures will be enforced if the ultimatum is ignored.
