In the landscape of Uganda’s leadership, Hon. Florence Mayoga Nambozo stands out as a beacon of transformative service — a leader whose dedication goes beyond politics and directly touches lives across communities. Her passion for education, women’s empowerment, and grassroots development has brought hope and progress, particularly within the Elgon region.

A professional teacher by training, Hon. Nambozo knows firsthand the power of education to break cycles of poverty and uplift entire communities. This understanding has fueled her tireless efforts to keep children — especially girls — in school, provide scholastic support to underprivileged families, and actively combat school dropout rates.

Her formative years in the classroom did more than prepare her to educate; they instilled in her a deep empathy and a determination to fight for inclusive and improved education policies that serve the most vulnerable learners.

But her impact stretches well beyond the school walls. Hon. Nambozo has become a formidable advocate for women’s rights and youth inclusion. In her district and across the broader Elgon sub-region, she has championed initiatives that support young mothers, provide practical skills to rural women, and mentor future female leaders. Her philosophy is clear and powerful: “A society that invests in its women, invests in its future.”

Currently serving as the State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Hon. Nambozo works within one of Uganda’s most underserved and challenging regions. Despite the complexities, her mission remains the same — to uplift the marginalized, amplify the voices of the vulnerable, and drive tangible, grassroots transformation. Whether she’s advocating for better social services in Karamoja or lobbying for rural electrification in Sironko, her leadership is grounded in empathy, integrity, and action.

What truly sets Hon. Nambozo apart is her unwavering connection to the people. While many leaders grow distant from those they serve, she continues to walk closely with her community — listening, learning, and supporting local solutions. From distributing school supplies to strengthening women’s groups, her initiatives are a testament to a servant leader who works beyond the confines of office.

Education. Women. Community. These are not just themes in Hon. Nambozo’s public addresses — they are the pillars of her leadership and life’s mission. As she looks toward the next phase of her service, her influence continues to grow — not only in Parliament but in the everyday lives of the people she represents.

As Hon. Florence Mayoga Nambozo prepares to seek another term from 2026 to 2031, the people of Sironko and the entire Elgon Region have a powerful opportunity — to reaffirm their support for a leader who has consistently delivered real change. With her proven track record of impact, Hon. Nambozo is ready to scale even greater heights of public service.

Let us unite behind her for another term of bold and compassionate leadership — and together, continue shaping a stronger, more inclusive, and thriving Elgon Region where everyone has a chance to rise and prosper.
