“Bobi Wine Uses Billions Of NUP Funds To Make Fancy Parties, Go For London Vacations Yet We Are In The Struggle” MP Abed Bwanika

National Unity Platform (NUP) MP Dr. Abed Bwanika has once again issued a devastating new challenge to his party leader Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu. He demands that Bobi stop promoting the fancy weddings of his party colleagues , living a lavish life abroad and instead focus on the people’s struggle.

True to Abed’s words, Bobi Wine has recently encouraged senior NUP officials to legalize their relations. They believe this would help gain the public’s respect for them as individuals and for the party as a whole. But somehow Abed Bwanika has a different opinion.

He argues like this; “It doesn’t make political sense for the party to continue throwing fancy weddings while the majority of its fellow citizens are fighting poverty.”

Although it was a well-intentioned suggestion, Abed’s new challenge would strike Bobi and his managers like another bolt of lightning . However, this issue of canceled weddings was used negatively by NUP opponents. They do this by pointing out how funny it is for the leaders of this party to complain about widespread poverty and say that they are simply shedding crocodile tears.

This Kabonera Masaka man had earlier urged Bobi to deflate his ego by visiting his political nemesis, President Yoweri Museveni, and negotiate the release of jailed party MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Mohammed Ssegirinya.

Bobi had rejected Museveni’s offer that the two MPs should seek amnesty if they wanted to regain their freedom or be prepared to stay in prison and suffer. Bobi had argued that what Museveni suggested amounted to a confession of hacking Masaka locals. He said such a thing alone would prove even more dangerous for them as individuals and for the NUP as a party.

But Abed insisted that the two colleagues accept the president’s offer. He argued that this was wiser than continuing to challenge the two while they remained imprisoned forever. Obviously offended, Bobi called Abed to a meeting to explain that he had acted against the party’s own position.

“I carry my own ideas in my head. They belong to me and only me,” Abed replied defiantly to the party director.

He stated that he would continue to express the viewpoints held in his own head without listening to anyone who told him otherwise. Explaining his stance against elegant weddings, Abed claims that he has the right to defend his opinion as he was elected not only by people from NUP but also by those from the NRM party and the rest of the political parties.

Furthermore, Abed stressed that he has a duty to speak on behalf of all Ugandans, without discrimination and without regard to political affiliation. Although it is a virtue to have principles, we will wait and see if Bobi and NUP accept Abed’s new challenge without taking action.

Bobi Wine has of late been in London with his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi attending international award ceremonies and parties which Bwanika claims that Bobi Wine is spending the party funds lavishly and blasting others for being Corrupt.
