Mathias Walukagga, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Busiro East, has declared that he will turn down the Shs200 million allocated to MPs for brand-new vehicles, opting instead to support his constituents, especially women running small businesses.
“I already have enough cars; I won’t spend Shs200 million on another one while my people are struggling,” Walukagga said. He highlighted his track record as Nsangi Town Council mayor, where he gave the official car to tax collectors and a motorcycle to his aide, rather than using them for personal benefit.
