“Gen Ssejusa Will Have To Explain To Us, What He Meant By The Muhoozi Project” Gen Muhoozi Demands
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has reignited a long-standing political controversy by publicly calling on General David Sejusa (formerly known as Tinyefuza) to clarify his claims about the so-called “Muhoozi Project.” The appeal, made via a pointed post on Twitter, has revived a debate that has lingered in Uganda’s political circles for more than a decade.
The term “Muhoozi Project” first gained traction after Gen Sejusa alleged that there was a covert plan to position Gen Muhoozi as the successor to his father, President Yoweri Museveni. The explosive claim stirred national controversy at the time, prompting heated discussions about succession, democracy, and military involvement in politics.
Now, Gen Muhoozi is demanding answers. In a tweet that pulled no punches, he asked:
“General Tinyefuza will explain to us what the ‘Muhoozi Project’ that he invented really means?”

His message was sharp and uncompromising, casting a renewed spotlight on Sejusa’s original assertion.
The post quickly drew widespread attention online. While some of Muhoozi’s followers rallied behind his call for clarification, others saw the tweet as an opportunity to reopen an unresolved political chapter. Social media lit up with renewed debate and speculation.
As of now, Gen Sejusa has not publicly responded to the challenge. Many Ugandans are watching closely to see whether he will address the question or continue to remain silent on the matter.
Regardless of what unfolds, one thing is clear: Gen Muhoozi appears determined to confront past narratives head-on, raising important questions about his place in Uganda’s political landscape and the future of the country’s leadership.
