“I Have No Physical Or Mental Issues, I Will Prove My Enemies Wrong In The NRM Primaries” Gen Moses Ali Sets The Record Straight
General Moses Ali, one of Uganda’s longest-serving and most prominent political figures, has pushed back against growing public concerns over his age and health, reaffirming his intention to contest for the Adjumani West parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.
At 86 years old, the retired general insists he remains both physically and mentally fit for active political duty.
“I have no physical or mental issues,” Gen. Moses Ali declared. “Let my haters wait for my victory in the NRM primaries.”
His comments come amid a surge of debate on social media and in local communities, with many Ugandans questioning whether it’s time for the veteran leader to step aside. Critics have pointed to his advanced age and previous health challenges as reasons to retire from the political scene.
But Gen. Ali remains undeterred.
“I’m physically and mentally sound,” he reiterated. “Those thinking I’m no longer fit will be surprised. I’m still strong, and I’m ready to serve.”
His stance has reignited conversations across the country about age, leadership, and the future of Uganda’s political landscape. While some citizens argue that it’s time for generational change, others praise the general’s unwavering commitment and wealth of experience.
In Adjumani West, his loyal supporters continue to stand by him, viewing him as a seasoned leader who has contributed significantly to both local development and national politics.
With the NRM primaries drawing near, General Moses Ali is once again in the spotlight—determined to prove that age is no barrier to leadership and that his political journey is far from over.
