Minister Balaam Barugahara has finally spoken out following the recent assault on singer-turned-presidential advisor Jennifer Nakangubi, popularly known as Full Figure. In a statement shared on his media pages, Balaam condemned the attack while also cautioning Full Figure against continuing to use offensive and disrespectful language.

Balaam, a close ally of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, began by thanking the medical team treating Full Figure after she was beaten and robbed by unknown assailants. He described the attack as “unfortunate” and called on those responsible to turn themselves in at the Central Police Station (CPS) to record statements.

“We cannot sit back and watch cruelty and lawlessness prevail in our nation,” Balaam wrote, stressing the importance of justice and accountability. He emphasized that violence must never be tolerated, regardless of disagreements or personal differences.

The minister also addressed Full Figure directly, warning her about the risks of using vulgar or abusive language. “At the same time, I appeal to Madam Full Figure to refrain from using offensive, abusive, and disrespectful language. We should strive to be humble and respectful toward one another at all times,” he stated.

Balaam explained that reckless speech can spark unnecessary conflicts and carry consequences. He reminded public figures like Full Figure to set a positive example by using words that foster unity rather than division, noting that vulgar language should be condemned under all circumstances.

In a rare gesture, Balaam went further to apologize on her behalf to anyone who may have been hurt or disrespected by her previous statements. “Finally, I wish to extend apologies on behalf of Madam Jennifer Figure to all individuals who may have been abused or harassed through her communication previously,” he said.

His statement has drawn mixed reactions, with some praising Balaam for condemning violence and calling for accountability, while others view it as a reminder for Full Figure to moderate her communication style. For now, public attention remains on her recovery and whether she will heed Balaam’s advice to avoid future conflicts.
