In a recently surfaced audio , the late Dokolo Woman MP and esteemed legislator, Cecilia Ogwal, shared poignant words just before her passing.

Unexpectedly visited by two close relatives in her Indian hospital room, she expressed gratitude towards Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng and Speaker Anita Among for their unwavering support during her final days.Referring to them as her daughters, Ogwal acknowledged their efforts in facilitating her prompt evacuation to India following sudden health complications.

Profoundly thankful, she credited their endeavors for her complete recovery, emphasizing that, initially unconscious and unable to walk or speak, she regained both faculties after three days of specialized treatment. In the audio, the outspoken Ogwal expressed certainty that her surviving family members, especially those closest to her, would receive unparalleled medical care as long as Aceng remained the Health Minister.

She also casually mentioned the Lira City Woman MP’s role in ensuring her family access the renowned Luo delicacy, Malakwang.Displaying a sense of premonition, Cecilia Ogwal designated her two brothers, Alfred and Lawrence, to oversee everything, urging them to remain strong as pillars of the family.

Some interpreted this as a poignant final directive. Ogwal revealed her apprehension upon learning of liver issues during medical tests in India, describing it as a surprising and unforeseen development in her medical history. In the same audio, Cecilia Ogwal says she got a bit frightened when some tests were done on her by the medical teams in India and unexpectedly revealed that she had ‘issues’ with her liver functionality.

Rest in Peace.Rest in Peace Imat Cecilia Ogwal. You did your part, your best and loyally served Uganda, the country you called home and loved more than anything else.
