“Parliament Is Not For Comedians, It’s Only For People With Brains” MP Ssegona Mocks His Opponent Mathias Walukagga
Busiro East MP Medard Ssegona has criticized the National Unity Platform (NUP) vetting process for parliamentary candidates, suggesting it may favor his rival, musician and Kyengera Municipality mayor Mathias Walukaga. He made the remarks immediately after attending the vetting session at NUP headquarters.
Ssegona expressed frustration over what he called a lack of fairness and transparency. He argued that Parliament should be reserved for experienced leaders with knowledge in law and governance, not for entertainers or popular figures lacking formal qualifications.
