Uganda Police have firmly rejected claims that they blocked National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, from holding his rally in Iganga, labeling the accusations as “total rubbish.” Police argue that the opposition leader simply ignored agreed-upon security protocols.
In a statement issued on October 3, authorities clarified that Kyagulanyi and his team had been granted permission to hold campaign events in both Mayuge and Iganga districts.
