“Vote For NRM & Get What Ever You Want Done For You” First Lady Rallies Busega Residents to Stand Strong with NRM
First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni has called on Ugandans—particularly supporters of the National Resistance Movement (NRM)—to remain steadfast in their loyalty and continue backing the ruling party. Her remarks came during a spirited Parish Development Model (PDM) tour stop in Busega, where she addressed an enthusiastic crowd.
Speaking to the gathered residents, Mrs. Museveni reaffirmed the importance of the NRM in addressing community needs and fulfilling citizens’ aspirations. “Keep supporting NRM because it is your party. If you continue to vote for it, everything you desire will be accomplished,” she told the crowd, drawing cheers and chants in response.
Her visit was part of a wider government campaign to raise awareness about the PDM initiative, which aims to eliminate poverty at the grassroots level. The program empowers communities by funding farmers, small businesses, and local development projects to improve household incomes and promote economic self-sufficiency.
In her address, the First Lady emphasized unity, patience, and confidence in leadership, encouraging residents to trust the government’s long-term vision. She urged them to stay focused as the NRM continues to roll out transformative programs meant to uplift communities across Uganda.

The reception was overwhelmingly positive, with many residents expressing excitement at seeing the First Lady in person. Local leaders also took the opportunity to thank her for her continued advocacy for rural development and for championing initiatives that directly benefit ordinary Ugandans.
As the country moves closer to the 2026 general elections, Mrs. Museveni’s visit is seen as a strategic effort to strengthen the NRM’s grassroots support in key urban areas like Busega. Her message served both as motivation and a reminder that the party remains deeply connected to the people it serves.
