Lumumba Amin, the son of the late former President of Uganda, Idi Amin Dada has hit back at President Museveni by calling his letter rejecting the formation of the proposed Idi Amin Institute idiotic.

A letter from Museveni to his wife, Janet Museveni who is the minister of education and sports strongly advised against setting up an institute in honour of Idi Amin.Museveni said that he had seen a letter from Dr Kagume who heads the National Council of Higher Education. This was addressing MP, Kaps Hassan Fungaroo who talked about such an institute as a souvenir for the late president.

According to Museveni, there is nothing to remember about Amin because he’s government was unconstitutional. Therefore, the forgiveness his colleagues got from Ugandans is enough and bygones should be bygones. That history should be left to die.According to Lumumba Amin, he found it hard to believe that such a letter was written by the President.

He even asked him to clarify whether it was him who wrote it. And if it was he that wrote it, Lumumba asked him to specify which laws the President was following while giving this directive.Additionally, the son of the late said that the president sounds like an angry incompetent person airing out their own disgruntled opinion from a government office.

“First of all, the letter is simply idiotic. I genuinely even doubted that such Fake news was actually written by you. Please clarify!“

Furthermore, the ex-first son added that the Admin family is not in anyway related to this request. Therefore, he believes that’s a political scam to fleece the government in the next three financial years.

Shockingly, Lumumba said that their only query is for President Museveni to answer how in 1973, he was found driving a Volkswagen that had been reported by eye witnesses to have been used in the abduction of the then Chief Justice and Prime Minister, Benedicto Kiwanukka.
