In Nairobi, a woman’s marriage teetered on the edge due to infertility, causing immense emotional strain. Sarah, a young Kenyan woman, had been married for four years, but the child she and her husband longed for remained out of reach. The pressure was especially intense from her mother-in-law, who frequently reminded Sarah of her inability to conceive. In many African cultures, having children is seen as a mark of a successful marriage, and the constant focus on her childlessness left Sarah feeling inadequate. At one point, her mother-in-law even threatened to evict her, adding to her emotional turmoil.

Determined to conceive, Sarah tried everything she could think of. She visited doctors, experimented with herbal remedies, and followed traditional advice from friends and family, but nothing worked. As time went on, the situation became even more stressful, and although her husband remained supportive, he too felt the mounting pressure.
