In a stunning turn of events that left many reeling, Sam Kakande, the alleged son of Synagogue Church of All Nations prophet Samuel Kakande, publicly renounced his father’s church and joined the Seventh Day Adventist church.

The dramatic announcement was made on January 14, 2018, during the annual corporate prayer day at Namboole, a moment that would go down in history as a bold declaration of faith and conviction.

Sam Kakande took the podium with unshakeable resolve, revealing that he could no longer continue living a life of “lies, stage-managed miracles, witchcraft, and evil sacrifices” that had become synonymous with his father’s ministry. He expressed his deep-seated fear of being sacrificed, a chilling prospect that had haunted him for far too long.

Seeking a new path, Sam found solace in the SDA church, which he believed preached a more authentic and biblical message, untainted by the trappings of fame and fortune.

“I’m happy to be here today and surprised by the way the SDA church reads the Bible, which is different from the way dad reads it,” Sam said.

Sam’s confession sent shockwaves through the audience, with many struggling to comprehend the magnitude of his decision. He went on to criticize his father’s church for its emphasis on riches, luck, and fortune, a theology that had become increasingly problematic for him.

He also alleged that many of the miracles claimed by his father were staged, a damning indictment of the very foundation of his ministry. In a symbolic act of rebirth, Sam requested baptism and cleansing to mark his departure from his father’s church and his new beginning with the SDA community.

It was a powerful moment, one that signaled his determination to forge a new path, free from the shadows of his father’s controversial legacy.

This dramatic turn of events came amidst controversy surrounding Samuel Kakande, who had faced accusations of promoting witchcraft and was rumored to have sought help from Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua after the mysterious death of his ‘holy snake.’

The elder Kakande had also faced environmental concerns related to his farming activities on Lake Victoria’s shores, adding to the growing scrutiny of his ministry.

Fast forward to 2024, and it’s interesting to reflect on this pivotal moment in the lives of the Kakande family and the religious landscape of Uganda. Sam’s courageous decision to follow his convictions, no matter the cost, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying true to one’s beliefs, even in the face of adversity.

However we can’t confirm if Sam Kakande’s claims were true.Let me know if you’d like any further adjustments!
