He Isnt Worth Glorifying!! Journalist Simon Kaggwa Njala Trashes Heroic Traffic Police Officer Abdallah Tusiime
NBS Journalist Simon Kaggwa Njala has stirred controversy by questioning the recognition given to traffic police officer Abdallah Tusiime, who was recently honored for his exemplary work in managing traffic in Kampala.
In a statement he shared on X, Njala criticized the public’s celebration of Tusiime, arguing that the officer was merely fulfilling his duty.
“We have gone so low that anything normal is worth glorifying. The Afande who was pictured in the rain guiding traffic never did anything extraordinary. Can I win a prize for taking care of my family?”
Tusiime gained widespread admiration after photos of him diligently managing traffic under heavy rain went viral, prompting various organizations and leaders to recognize his commitment.
He received several awards, including scholarships and a transfer request from the Speaker of Parliament to work within Parliament.
Abdallah Tusiime was cast into the limelight on Monday after comedian Salvado highlighted about his work and said he was doing an exemplary job and deserved recognition and promotion.
