In a moment of great excitement and renewed hope, Hon Joseph Mukasa has officially announced his bid to contest as Member of Parliament for Makindye-Sabagabo Municipality in the upcoming 2026 elections, under the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket. With the powerful slogan “People First, Service, Equity and Transformation”, Hon Mukasa is already winning hearts across the constituency.

Joseph Mukasa is no stranger to the people of Makindye-Sabagabo. For over 20 years, he has walked alongside the community, understanding their struggles from poor roads, youth unemployment, and insecure neighborhoods, to lack of proper health care and quality education. He knows the pain of a mother who walks long distances to a clinic without medicine, or a youth with skills but no opportunity. These are not just stories to him they are realities he has seen and worked to change.

As Executive Director of HELP Uganda, Hon Mukasa has empowered thousands of youth and women with practical skills in tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and more. These programs have helped many families escape poverty. His deep roots in community service, combined with his vast experience working with international partners like USAID, CDC, and the World Bank, show that he is not only passionate he is also capable.

In his manifesto, Hon Mukasa commits to pushing for better roads, improved drainage, and quality public services. He has promised to hold town hall meetings, so people can always have a voice in decision-making. He will fight for women and youth empowerment, support better education, and champion clean and safe environments.

Above all, Joseph Mukasa is a servant leader. He listens. He understands. And he acts.

This is not his first time in the political ring. He contested for the same seat in 2011–2016 and though he didn’t win, he never abandoned the people. He kept serving through Rotary and his NGO – and today, his impact is visible in every parish.

In his words: “Makindye-Sabagabo deserves dignity, equity, and real transformation. I will be your voice in Parliament, not my own. Together, we can build a prosperous and just community.”

Hon Joseph Mukasa pledges to remain accessible, transparent, and accountable. He stands against corruption, injustice, and the politics of handouts.

The people are ready. The time is now.

Vote Hon Joseph Mukasa NUP Candidate for MP, Makindye-Sabagabo Municipality 2026.
People First. Service. Equity. Transformation.
