Hon. Biara Emmanuel Wepukhulu has delivered a message of hope to the people of Muyonga Catholic Church in Marakaru village, Bunalwere parish, Bwihonge subcounty, as he shared the exciting news of a major development for Teso. The region has been allocated 76 billion shillings for cattle restocking, a crucial step in rebuilding the lives of families devastated by years of loss and hardship.

Addressing rumors that had begun circulating about the feasibility of the President’s pledge to provide each household with five cows, Hon. Biara took a firm stand. He reassured the people that the promise is not only achievable but will be fulfilled if they continue to support the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer. The funds allocated for cattle restocking are specifically designed to address the challenges faced by Teso, a region that has suffered greatly due to the raids by Karimojong warriors, which have resulted in the loss of both livestock and lives.
The Karimojong raids left many communities in Teso vulnerable, with families losing their main source of income—cattle. Hon. Biara acknowledged the profound impact this had on the region and emphasized that the cattle restocking program would not only help restore livelihoods but also bring stability back to the region. With the 76 billion shillings allocated, households in Teso are set to receive the support they need to rebuild their herds and secure a more sustainable future.

In his address, Hon. Biara urged the residents to focus on the positive steps being taken by the government, reassuring them that the cattle restocking plan was a realistic and achievable goal. He urged the people to ignore negative rumors and to instead rally behind the NRM flag bearer, who would ensure the program’s successful implementation. According to him, unity and strong political leadership are key to seeing the region through this difficult time.

The allocation of 76 billion shillings is a game-changer for Teso, and Hon. Biara is optimistic about the future. With this support, the people of Teso will have the opportunity to restore their herds and rebuild their lives. As he spoke to the people, he emphasized that this initiative was not just about cattle but about giving the community the tools to recover and prosper once more.

Hon. Biara’s call for unity resonated with the crowd, and the people of Teso were filled with a renewed sense of hope. His words of reassurance and his firm belief in the government’s commitment to their cause were met with overwhelming support. With his leadership and the cattle restocking program in place, Teso’s future is brighter than ever, and the people are ready to rebuild.
