Honorable Daudi Kabanda, a passionate supporter of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) and General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has once again sparked debate on social media with his latest remarks.

The outspoken Member of Parliament took to his X account to express his unwavering belief in General Muhoozi’s potential to secure the presidency in the 2026 elections, predicting a landslide victory with 79% of the vote.

Kabanda, who has consistently championed General Muhoozi’s leadership, views the general as the future of Uganda. He has used various platforms, including media appearances and public gatherings, to promote the PLU and advocate for Muhoozi’s presidency.

His latest comments, however, have caused quite a stir.In a tweet posted earlier today, Kabanda stated, “Many are afraid of Muhoozi’s leadership because they know it’s going to be phenomenal,” and urged the “Mukade wekanisa” to take heed of his words. The cryptic nature of the term “Mukade wekanisa” has left netizens puzzled and speculating about whom he might be referring to.

“Some people are afraid of General MK’s leadership because they know, it is going to be phenomenal. I know they know! He will win the 2026 Presidential Elections with 79%. Tambuza post Mpaka kumukadde w’ekanisa.” Kabanda Tweeted.

The tweet has drawn mixed reactions from the public. While some of Kabanda’s followers echoed his sentiments, others expressed concern over his choice of words, warning that such statements could land him in hot water. Critics have accused him of sowing division and stoking political tensions in a country already facing numerous challenges.

Kabanda’s remarks are the latest in a series of controversial statements made by NRM members backing General Muhoozi’s presidential bid. As the 2026 elections approach, it remains to be seen how these declarations will impact the political landscape and whether they will galvanize support for the PLU or alienate potential voters.

In the meantime, Honorable Kabanda seems undeterred by the backlash, continuing to use his platform to advocate for what he believes is the best path forward for Uganda.General Muhoozi’s leadership aspirations have been a topic of heated debate across Uganda.

While he enjoys a significant following, especially among younger Ugandans, many have expressed doubts about his suitability to lead the country. Critics argue that Muhoozi lacks the experience and political acumen needed to navigate Uganda’s complex political landscape.

Some have even claimed that he is unfit to serve as an LC1 village chairman, the lowest level of elected office in Uganda.Despite these criticisms, Muhoozi’s popularity has continued to rise, particularly after the launch of his “Patriotic League” movement.

The movement, which promotes national unity and patriotism, has attracted members from various political parties, including the NRM, the National Unity Platform (NUP), and the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).

This influx of support has bolstered Muhoozi’s profile, leading some to believe that he could indeed be a formidable contender for the presidency.
