Emmanuel Ssebulime who has been the Personal Assistant to murdered Kampala Criminal Gang Commander Paddy Sserunjogi (Sobi) has put president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s government especially security agencies on notice to produce a detailed report on the murder of their colleague.

Exclusively speaking to theGrapevine, a tearful Ssebulime revealed that Sobi’s murder was planned from Kampala that’s why they singled him out of his many colleagues who were involved in the saga.

“When you look at his Sobi’s body, he was badly cut in the back, legs, hands and back of his head which means that it was a surprise attack. He was not cut in the face, chest and stomach,” Ssebulime who claims that he was present when a postmortem was being done on Sobi’s body at Mulago hospital said.

He added that the criminal gangs that killed Sobi travelled to Kibaale Village, Maddu Sub county in Gomba district from Kampala well knowing that they were going to face Sobi that’s why they made sure that they kill him fearing that once he escapes to Kampala, he will revenge against them.

Ssebulime insisted that Sobi identified his killers, that’s why they concentrated on him and left other people he went with some of who survived with injuries. He noted that when he analysed Sobi’s body, it seems he was killed in the morning or afternoon of Monday, not evening as police claimed in their statement.

“Our commanders who first saw Sobi’s body told us that they found the body with dry blood and even the blood which has spilled on the ground had also dried up. Which means police come to the scene of crime after like four to five hours. For us, we have already gathered our information, identified those who killed Sobi and we are waiting for police and security reports,” Ssebulime said.

However, theGrapevine has independently established that since yesterday, criminal gangs who were under Sobi’s command have been sharing information on their WhatsApp groups on how to avenge their boss’ murder.Ssebulime confirmed that it is true Sobi’s gangs are planning to carryout revenge because they know the people who killed their commander.

He added that he has been pleading with them to drop any plans for revenge because they will end up in prison or they will be killed. He disclosed that what they want now is justice for their commander.Ssebulime revealed that Sobi’s body is currently being kept at a funeral home and according to their programme, he will be buried on Wednesday at his ancestral home in Masaka district.By the time of his death, Sobi had declared his interest to stand as Kampala City Lord mayor to oust Erais Lukwago in 2026.

He claimed that Lukwago has done nothing to help the people of Kampala apart from politicking.Sobi was formerly a close friend to former security bosses Col Frank Bagyenda Kaka the former Internal Security Organisation (ISO) Director General, Gen. Edward Kale Kayihura the former Inspector General of police among others.Sobi was also accused of commanding the torture of people in; Lwamayuba island, Kyengera Safe houses and in other security installations.

Sobi has died before clearing a Shs175m debt which court ordered him to pay together with his former boss Kaka, Musa Bashiru, Cpl. Richard Ataliwuwe, Cpl Joseph Apunya, Joseph Opusi, Rokani Obuleju, Erasmus Jack Nsagiranabo, Apollo Nahurira, Ali Mayanja, Bukomero and Kaberenge for violating the rights of Musa Nsereko who sued in the High Court Civil Division.Sobi was killed in the land wrangle between the family of Paul Kibi led by Deborah Nagadya and Barton Kiwewa and a Rwandenese national named Kaliisa.
