Mbarara Woman Arrested For Torturing 11 Year Old Stepdaughter To Nearly Death For Eating Bread Without Permission

Mbarara District police have arrested two suspects, Marion Atuhaire (31) and Ashaba (40), on charges of aggravated torture involving an 11-year-old girl, Patricia Ainembabazi.

The girl sustained severe burns allegedly inflicted by her stepmother, Atuhaire, after being accused of eating bread without permission on September 29, 2024.

ASP Amos Bentungura of Rubindi Police Station confirmed Atuhaire had been evading arrest but was eventually captured in Sheema District.

Ugandans who took to their different social media platforms to speak on this have congratulated the police for arresting the suspect as soon as they received the report on what had been done to the victim.

In other news, President Yoweri Museveni has called upon parents to ensure that their children are in school stating that the government of Uganda has made public schools free for all children.

Several sources have confirmed that the renowned politician who was speaking about the current Situation in Uganda stated that all Ugandans need to spend atleast 14 years of their lives in school.

This is happening at the same time when Dr Kizza Besigye has stated that Higher Education is expensive to poor families.
