Pastor Bugingo’s Bodyguard Died Shielding His Boss – Took All The Bullets For Bugingo To Survive

Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer Ministries has eulogized his body guard Richard Muhumuza as a selfless officer , friend who promised to protect him at all costs.

At the burrial ceremony held at Muguluka in Lwebitakuli , Bugingo who arrived under tight security revealed that for the last 10 years, Muhumuza has been promising him that he is ready to protect him to the extent of taking bullets that may target the Pastor.

“Even his wife can bare a witness of this, he has been telling that if they are 100 bullets aimed at me he will swallow atleast 99. Muhumuza has been going out on special missions in countries but his prayer has been that whoever (enemy) is aiming at attacking me should do it when are together.” Bugingo narrated to mourners.

He added that he has been staying with Muhumuza and his family at his Namayumba based home for now close to two months.

“His children know it very well that they are my children and i have been asking them never to get worried of anything when am around not even school fees. He has been seeing great things in me and on several occasions i have been telling me that i have no armmed enemies against me but he has been insisting that am a VIP and all VIPs have enemies looking for them.”

Bugingo revealed that during the attack, he was injured by three bullets in his back but he received many injections from Mulago which reduced on the pain.

“They ambushed us as we were joining the main road.. shot towards us several times but Richard acted as my shield because he fell on me during the scuffle. I heard a voice saying that don’t move and i followed the calling untill when the enemies were satisfied that they had killed both of us.”

The Pastor clarified that after the shooting, he decided to save his life and that of his colleagues and thus decided to drive to the health Facility.

“I first got confused at the Round about but after i decided to go to Mulago because although Nansana has a number of health facilities, none was in position to stop the asasins incase they returned, so i decided to to Mulago so that whether they are to finish us they can do it from there.” He Added.

At the burrial he has promised to take care of the widow with her Children as his own because their dad passed away Saving his life.The Late Muhumuza has been burried as a Special Forces Command (SFC) officer with gun salute.

Muhumuza passed away on Tuesday evening , after unknown armed people fired bullets towards Pastor Bugingo’s Car in Namungoona as they headed home at around 9pm.
